Available to Mid-Market and above packages, our Announcements feature is very versatile and can be used for various purposes including but not limited to announcing new programs or campaigns such as a nomination period or wellness initiative. See the below video for an overview of the Announcements feature.
To turn on the Announcements Feature as a Company Admin:
- Select 'Menu' in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select 'Company Admin' from the drop-down menu
- Select the 'Settings' tab from the left side menu
- Select 'Announcements' from the right side navigation panel
- Toggle the setting for 'Enable Announcements on the stream page' to 'ON'
To View or Edit Past Announcements on the Stream Page as a Company Admin:
There are two ways to edit past Announcements on the Stream Page. You can select the 'Pencil' icon next to the announcement you want to edit directly from the Stream Page, which will take you to the form in the Company Admin portal as shown below:
Alternatively, you can follow these steps:
- Select 'Menu' in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select 'Company Admin' from the drop-down menu
- Select the 'Announcements' tab on the left side menu within the Company Admin Portal
- You will land on the 'Overview' page, which will show any Announcements that have already been published
- You can see the details for each Announcement in the table at the center of the page such as when the Announcement was posted, who the author was, the title of the Announcement, whether it was a post, email, or SMS message, the current status of the Announcement, and who the audience was
- You can also 'View' or 'Edit' the details of the messaging by clicking the corresponding buttons within the table
- If you're looking for a specific Announcement that was posted, you have the ability to filter by Month, Quarter, Year, or Custom
- Lastly, you can export any Announcement data you may need by selecting the type of file you want in the 'Export' tab
To Create a New Announcement for the Stream Page as a Company Admin:
There are two ways to create a new Announcement for the Stream Page. You can select the "+" button next to the 'Announcements' section on the Stream Page to jump straight to the form in the Company Admin portal as shown below:
Alternatively, you can follow these steps:
- Select 'Menu' in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select 'Company Admin' from the drop-down menu
- Select the 'Announcements' tab on the left side menu within the Company Admin Portal
- Select the Pencil Icon in the top right menu next to the 'Overview' button
- Choose a title for your Announcement and type it into the 'Title' text box in the 'Post to Stream' module
- Include the details of your message in the 'Body' text box below that
- To make your Announcement visible in the Stream side bar, make sure this toggle is set to 'Visible'
NOTE: If you are only wanting to make an announcement via email or SMS, keep this turned off. - Once your messaging is finalized, select the 'Create' button to publish to the Stream Page side bar and/or feel free to continue creating an email and SMS version of your Announcement
If desired, you can use the Announcements feature to communicate a campaign or topic over several channels, including email and SMS. To create an email or SMS Announcement, you will follow the same steps above, but also add your text to the email and SMS modules. See the below for an example of what this could look like!
- Use the Post to Stream module to share details of your campaign
- Toggle the Email module on
- Make sure to add a compelling subject line so that users will know what the email is about
- Add in any additional details or reminders to the body of the email
- You can also add in dynamic content such as First Name and a Password link, if necessary
- To add an SMS Announcement, toggle the SMS module on
- Add your messaging for SMS in the message field
- Add any dynamic content you'd like to use
- Select 'Create' when you've finalized your messaging
NOTE: Email and SMS messaging cannot be edited once created. If you'd like to change your messaging for these channels, you will need to create a new Announcement.
