Recognize uses a points system to help track engagement, and to enable companies to acknowledge and reward positive employee behavior. A user can earn points by performing a variety of activities in the platform such as receiving a Recognition, +1’ing (liking) someone else's recognition, receiving a +1 (like), and sending recognitions (depending on which activities your company awards points for). The points for receiving a Recognition are controlled by the value of the badge given which is set up by Admins within your organization. These points help measure different types of activities on the platform.
Points can be broken down into 2 different categories:
Redeemable points are points that are earned by receiving Recognitions, that you may redeem for rewards in the Rewards Catalog.
You can view how many redeemable points you have through the 'Rewards' button, located on the top left navigation bar if you organization does participate in a redeemable rewards program. If your organization does not participate in our redeemable rewards program, you will not see this option in the top left menu, but you can view your non-redeemable points in your User Profile.
If your organization does not participate in our Rewards program, or uses a combination of both Redeemable and Non-redeemable points, you can still accumulate non-redeemable points through activities such as sending or receiving a Recognition or receiving/submitting a '+1' (like) in Recognize. While these actions can still be 'awarded' points for occurring on the platform, they are not eligible for rewards redemption.
Viewing your Points:
You can view your combined total points, redeemable points, and non-redeemable points in your User Profile:
1. Select your Name/Avatar to view your User Profile
2. Select 'Points' from the horizontal navigation panel below the profile header
3. Select the time frame that you wish to view points for
4. You can also filter the results by 'Redeemable' and 'Non-Redeemable'
