If you're having trouble signing in, here are some things to check:
Confirm that you are Active:
Confirm that you have signed into the system in the past and have activated your account before attempting to reset the password. To confirm this, reach out to your company’s Recognize admin, or reach out to us with your full name, email address, and the name of your organization at support@recognizeapp.com.
Make Sure you are Entering the Correct Credentials:
Recognize supports a multitude of sign-on options: Single Sign-On, Yammer, Google, Microsoft, Recognize login with email and Recognize login with telephone number. Confirm that you are attempting to sign in with the credentials that your organization has approved.
If you are unsure of how your organization signs-in, try checking your company’s sign-in page to see what options are available. Your company's landing page will follow this format: www.recognizeapp.com/[yourcompanydomain].
If your company signs in using OAuth technology like Microsoft, Google, or Yammer then you will see a button on your company’s login page for Microsoft, Google, or Yammer. If you do not see a button for any of those things, your organization uses either SSO, email, or phone number to sign in. See the picture below for an example of how this might look:
Make Sure you are Entering the Correct Email Address:
Your email address must be in the format username@domain.com (or .net, .org, .co.uk, etc.). If you have more than one email address, make sure that you are using the correct email address and password combination for Recognize.
Make Sure You are Entering the Correct Mobile Phone Number:
If you created your account with a mobile phone number, you'll need to use your mobile phone number to log into your account.
If You Have Forgotten Your Password:
- If you are using OAuth technology like Microsoft, Google, or Yammer and have forgotten your password, reach out to those platforms to reset your password.
- If you are using SSO and have forgotten your password, reach out to your company IT for help resetting your password.
- If you are signing into Recognize with Email or Phone number, first confirm that you are entering your password correctly. Being off by a single letter will affect your ability to sign-in. Check CAPS Lock and NUM Lock on your keyboard. Keep in mind that passwords are case sensitive, so "PASSWORD" and "Password" are recognized as two different passwords. If you’re confident that you are attempting to sign on with the correct credentials, try resetting your password.
To reset your password, click here: https://recognizeapp.com/password_resets/new. Make sure you enter the correct email address and click "Forgot Password". Follow the instructions and wait to receive an email with a link to reset your password. If you are not seeing the email, please check your spam folders. Keep in mind that each time you submit the 'forgot password' form, it invalidates links sent in previous emails. Use the link in the most recent email. Note: this link expires after 10 minutes.
Cache and Cookies:
Your saved web history may be interfering with you entering newer/different information. In these instances, you may need to clear your web history.
