For Mid-Market Package companies | In Beta Release
Recognize now offers the capability for Mid-Market+ package customers to connect to an Amazon Business account so that users can redeem their points for items through Amazon. The redemption process for these items will be initiated within Recognize, and users will have an option to view a separate catalog created by your organization for Amazon business items within the Rewards tab. Below, you will find instructions for how to set this Rewards offering option up for your company as a Company Admin, as well as what a user's redemption experience would look like for an Amazon item. Please note that Amazon Business Rewards is currently in Beta release, and may not yet be available for all customers. Processes below may change based on feedback received during the Beta release period.

-
Click the 'Add payment method' button and fill out card information
Adding Users

-
Click on 'People' within the 'Members' section of your Group's dashboard

b. Select the 'Buyer' option under 'Role'
c. Select the 'Invite people' button at the bottom

Configuring Purchasing System
Once your users have been added, you'll want to configure your Purchasing System for the Amazon Business Group.
-
-
From the Amazon Business Group's dashboard, under the 'Systems integration' section, click on 'Purchasing System'
-
Search for the 'RecognizeApp' purchasing system in the search box
-
Important: Save “System Login - ‘From Identity’ in cXML" to a notepad or other spot that will be easily accessible because you will need it in a later step
-
Click the 'Save' button, without making any changes to the text in each box
-
Important: On the Purchasing System details page, click on the 'Switch to Active mode' button to allow orders to ship
-
Review Order Safeguards by clicking 'Edit' in the 'Order safeguards' block
NOTE: Order safeguards ensure that all customer orders respect limits set by your company. -
Ensure that 'Item price' is turned on and set to 20% (or some similar value)
NOTE: Since Amazon is a marketplace, prices are sometimes subject to change based on availability. This boundary allows order prices to slightly change from the posted price within a given percentage. This percentage can be changed to better suit your company’s expectations. -
Ensure that the setting for 'Seller substitutions' is set to 'Use any seller or vendor,' which will allow items to be shipped from any source that Amazon supports
-
Obtain Group information to save on the Recognize catalog in the next step (Group ID / Group Identity)
a. Group ID - Extract the group id from the current url- Ex. https://www.amazon.com/bb/account/A5IYH1234537Z/settings#/
- The group id is: A5IYH1234537Z
- Copy this into a notepad
b. Group Identity
- This is the value you saved earlier from “System Login - ‘From Identity’ in cXML” in our Purchasing System
- Ex: RecognizeApp_SomeGroup1234567890
-
Creating an Amazon Business Catalog in Recognize
The next step in the process of implementing Amazon Business Rewards is to create an Amazon Business Catalog within the Recognize platform.
- After logging in to Recognize, select 'Menu' in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
-
Select 'Company Admin' from the drop-down
- Select 'Rewards' from the left side menu
- Select the 'Create Catalog' button
-
Select the 'Create' button in the 'Amazon Business Catalog' module
NOTE: If you do not see the “Amazon Business Catalog” option, please reach out to support@recognizeapp.com
- Give your catalog a name, which your employees will see when they go to redeem their points for Rewards
- The currency for your Amazon Business Catalog will automatically be set to USD
- Choose the ratio at which user points will be redeemed
- Add 'Roles' for access to the catalog, if desired
- Click the 'Next' button once you've filled everything out
-
Under 'Link Your Amazon Business Account,' click on the Amazon Business button
-
On the confirmation screen, click the 'Allow' button and wait to be redirected back to Recognize
-
You should then receive a success message and be redirected back to the catalog in Recognize
-
Once back in the catalog you created, you'll now see fields to enter the Amazon Group ID and Amazon Group Identity that you saved earlier
-
Once these two fields have been filled and you see a 'Connected to Amazon Business' message, you'll be able to enable the catalog for redemptions
-
Make sure to click 'Save' before leaving the page
Amazon Rewards User Redemption Experience
With the Amazon Rewards integration, users will be able to select and redeem for Amazon items without leaving the Recognize platform.
-
Select the 'Rewards' tab in the top left main menu from the Recognize Stream Page
-
From the Catalog drop-down in the top left corner of the screen, select your organization's Amazon catalog
-
You can then search for specific items with the search bar on the left
-
Once you've found an item you'd like to redeem your points for, click on the item's image
-
On the Reward details page, you'll be able to view a description of the item
- You'll also be able to choose a style, depending on what item you choose
- Make sure you double check the specs and terms and conditions for each item before you confirm the redemption
-
In the top right corner, you'll be presented with an estimated point cost - in order to calculate the final point cost, continue to step 9 and 10
-
Once you've reviewed the item details, you'll then enter your shipping information in the right side module
NOTE: This will run a check to confirm that we can ship to your address, as well as check that the item is still in stock with Amazon. -
Select the 'Next' button once you're ready
- You will then be presented with a price breakdown showing the final cost of the redemption, after factoring in tax and shipping
NOTE: Amazon is a marketplace, and prices are always subject to change. Expect the price in the confirmation popup to differ from the originally presented value, as this final price is calculated based on current market price, the end-user’s specific shipping address, & tax information. - You'll also see a points summary that will inform you of your starting point total, and your total after redemption
- If you're happy with the details, select the 'Redeem' button
-
You will receive an email from Amazon Business with a confirmation of your order, as well as a link to track it
-
Additionally, you can view the redemption on your profile under 'Redemptions'
- Once the item is delivered, you will receive an email update from Amazon
